COVID-19 League UpdateUpdatedMonday May 4, 2020 byAdmin.
After many weeks of hoping for an end to the pandemic and putting together numerous contingencies for how we could finish the spring season, we have made the call that the season cannot be completed. We hope that things will slowly return to normal and we can be in a position to open up registrations for a fall season. Obviously, none of us know when things will be normal enough that the league can conduct a new season, but we will monitor the situation and alert our families if/when that time comes. Each family should have received an email with additional details regarding the wrap-up of the spring season.
We hope to see you at the fields in the near future.
FC Cary Staff
Dear FC Cary Families,
After careful and thorough consideration, we are suspending all soccer-related activities until Monday, April 13. Effective immediately, all training, games, and any other organized club activity are suspended until April 13.
We are evaluating options for the season but at present, our intent is to restart training and games beginning April 13 and extend the season through May to complete the full season. There will be modifications made on the calendar to accommodate the suspension period and to extend the season.
We want to be a good community citizen and do our part to help limit the spread of this virus. We understand this is a tough time for all, but the health and safety of our families in addition to the broader community is our greatest concern.
Please visit our website (www.fccary.com) to stay up to date on the latest information. We will send a communication each Friday with any updates we have on the current state of things as we navigate through this time and make decisions on when it is safe to return to the fields.
